A Musical Year to Remember: We welcomed 3 New Business Owners!
We introduced three wonderful new business owners across the Midlands in 2025 - Carolyn Lawford, Jhodi Kennard and Zara Frankton.
Carolyn is running classes in South West Birmingham. She enjoyed nine fantastic years as a Rhythm Time parent before turning her passion into a career. With professional music experience and a strong background in SEND support, she ensures every child feels included and confident.
Zara brings huge musical energy to classes across Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon and Kenilworth. A talented musician - piano, flute, oboe and saxophone - she loves helping children express themselves and grow through music.
Over in Solihull, Jhodi leads a buzzing musical community while also writing about children’s music. A keen singer and flautist, she first joined as a new mum in 2014 and is now sharing that same joy with others.
They're all LOVING being part of the Rhythm Time story and are looking forward to growing their businesses in the year ahead.
🏆 Celebrating Anneka's National Recognition
We’re thrilled to share that Anneka Hurst, Business Owner of Rhythm Time Coventry, Rugby and West Northants, has been selected as one of the Top 10 Finalists for Outstanding Newcomer in the What’s On 4 Kids National Children’s Activities Awards 2025 — an incredible accomplishment.
Anneka took over the franchise in July 2023 and has achieved remarkable growth and impact in a short space of time. Within just three months, she increased the number of children attending classes by over 90% — a reflection of her commitment to quality, community, and helping little ones learn and thrive through music.
Her leadership has seen the business expand to around 21 weekly classes, serving more than 260 families, with sold-out events, growing waiting lists, and classes now running across the area. Her customer feedback is outstanding too, with high recommendations and 100% five-star reviews.
Anneka’s passion also shines through in her partnerships, community outreach and extensive charity support — all while delivering the developmental benefits of our music classes to even more babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers.
Please join us in congratulating Anneka on this well-deserved national recognition — we couldn’t be prouder!
